## Good to know
- **What should I bring?** A change of clothes, swimsuit, towel, sandals and a bag for wet clothes. Shower rooms are available for changing.
- **Do you offer hotel pick-up?** Yes — from Ao Nang, Klong Muang and Krabi Town. Guests on Railay, Lanta or Phi Phi are picked up at the nearest pier (Nummao, Chao Fah or Klong Jirad).
- **Is it OK to visit in the rainy season?** Absolutely. You'll get wet with the mud spa and bathing anyway — and a tropical shower with the elephants is part of the fun.
- **Do I need to book in advance?** Yes, please book online at least 12 hours ahead. The sanctuary is in the jungle and we limit visitor numbers for the elephants' comfort.
- **Can pregnant women join?** Our elephants are gentle and mahouts are always with them, but the forest walking route can be uneven, so please take extra care.

About Us

### More Than Just a Sanctuary, It's a Home.

We are a big family who lives together between elephants and humans for 2 generations. We’re working together and taking care of each other. Here’s a Krabi elephant house sanctuary, the place where elephants are not just animals but we are “family members”. In the past, elephants are not wild animals but they were served as the warrior beside the King in the war. In many histories of Thai dynasties, elephants fighting along with us. Thus, this is the reason why an elephant becomes a nation symbolic and used to appear in the Thai national flag. Not mentioning, some elephants also work hard in city building.
The main reason for Krabi Elephant House Sanctuary is not only allowing people to get closer to these beautiful elephants and learn the way of living peacefully together but also support the Southern Elephants Hospital. We want to give and help back to our big family and keep them safe and having a better quality of living. We would like to be a part of taking care of them as they used to take care of us before.

ENJOY RAINING SEASON Don’t be afraid to get wet during the raining season as you will be lucky with showering together with the elephants. Moreover, you will normally get wet with the bathing and mud spa activities in the package anyway.

### Are pregnant women allowed to join the programs?

Our elephants are friendly and no harm at all. We have mahouts along with their elephants all the time. However, the activities are doing in the green forest, the walking route could be difficult. The mothers might take care of themselves as well during forest trekking.

### Is online booking required?

Online booking in advance is preferred due to limited on-site operation staffs and the locations are in the jungle, out of google map. Our online booking form request for the hotel and room number. Our van driver will pick you up on the booking date in the form you mentioned to us. We currently have 2 locations based on different programs you choose.

### Is online payment secure?

We prefer online payment in order to guarantee and secure your booking. We offer World-Class Standard Internet Banking from omise, Credit / Debit from omise and Paypal.
